Titans land missing piece in ESPN's way-too-early 2025 NFL mock draft

Way-too-early mock drafts rank highly on the list of mind-numbing NFL content ideas during the offseason. The only purpose they serve is to help rabid draft fanatics ween off of the annual event shortly following its conclusion.

With that being said, I can't help myself from clicking these articles to see which player the Titans land in this fruitless exercise. I know it, I am the problem.

ESPN's Jordan Reid crafted his 2025 mock draft on Thursday. The Tennessee Titans were assigned the fourth overall pick. However Reid projected a trade back to No. 10 overall in a swap with the Las Vegas Raiders.

With this hypothetical 10th overall selection the Titans solved an issue that still lingers after the 2024 NFL Draft has passed by. This solution comes in the form of Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden III, who could potentially serve as Tennessee's WR1 for the future.

From ESPN: With DeAndre Hopkins entering the final year of his contract, finding a young receiver to play opposite Calvin Ridley makes sense. Burden is an explosive tackle-breaker. His 32 forced missed tackles was the fifth most among all FBS receivers last season, and his 710 yards after the catch (out of 1,212 total receiving yards) ranked third.
